Pär pursues complementary careers in business, government, and academia with more than thirty years of advisory experience—of which ten at McKinsey—and long-standing roles in defence and security. Since 2021, he is a PhD student at the Stockholm School of Economics with research interests centering around the building of systemic resilience in market-based societies and with external funding by the Swedish Transport Administration. He holds an MSc from the SSE and a BSc in political science from Stockholm University. Outside academia, Pär chairs the Swedish Government’s inquiry on enhanced security of supply of goods and services and is a Lieutenant Colonel at Armed Forces Defence Staff with a part-time role in total defence.
