Political Participation by Business Owners
Following gradual economic reforms, the private sector has become an increasingly important ingredient in the Chinese economy. However, private entrepreneurs have long been discriminated against in different ways. The aim of this research program is to improve our understanding of how private business owners accumulate political capital in order to facilitate preferential treatment.
