Reducing Returns in E-Commerce: Workshop with eComID

Retail Management students in E-Commerce Retail Club participated in a workshop with eComID and SSE alumna Erika Markör about managing high return rates in fashion e-commerce.

Erika Markör, COO of eComID, shared how return rates in e-commerce were once overlooked, but retailers have now recognised its importance and prioritized them. eComID addresses the problem pre-purchase, using AI for size recommendations, sustainability nudges, and personalized incentives.

After hearing the presentation, students worked on a case exploring how to prevent and reduce returns successfully. This was done by evaluating the current situation using a SWOT analysis and MoSCoW model, and based on that developing a strategic roadmap for eComID.
